6-Week Introduction to Yoga Course - A gentle, welcoming yoga course for complete beginners
If you’ve always wanted to try yoga but felt unsure where to start, this 6-week introductory course is a perfect, friendly doorway into the practice. Designed specifically for beginners, this course offers a supportive, non-intimidating space to explore yoga at a pace that feels right for you.
I believe yoga should be accessible, enjoyable and empowering for everyone, no matter your starting point. Together in a small group, we’ll gently build confidence, strength and understanding as you learn the foundations of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.
What You’ll Learn
Across six weeks, you’ll be introduced to the core elements that make up a well-rounded yoga practice:
Foundational Hatha and Vinyasa postures (Asana)
Safe alignment, technique and body awareness
How yoga postures support strength, mobility and wellbeing
Pranayama (yogic breathing) for calm, focus and energy
Meditation techniques to cultivate presence and inner stillness
Guided relaxation to support rest and nervous system regulation
The underlying principles and philosophies of yoga
How to approach your practice intuitively and with self-compassion
You’ll progress gradually, gaining confidence and understanding as each week builds on the last.
A Supportive, Beginner-Friendly Environment
You’ll be practising within a small, friendly group, giving plenty of space for questions, personalised guidance and encouragement. Whether you’re completely new or returning after time away, you’ll never feel judged or out of place.
My approach is always welcoming, accessible, encouraging and respectful of your pace and your body. This course is about learning, growing and enjoying the process, not about touching your toes or achieving a perfect pose!
By the end of the 6 weeks, you will:

Before the course begins, I’ll connect with each participant individually to learn about your goals, concerns or anything that may support your experience. This helps me tailor the course to the group so you feel fully supported from the very start.
